Why Swagman 4ply/Fingering 85% SW Merino 15% Nylon?

Careful consideration was taken when I first starting dying yarn in the winter of 2016. I wanted my little yarn dyeing business to reflect myself and my values of why I started this little venture. So why choose my Swagman 4ply/Fingering weight 85% Superwash Merino 15% Nylon base you ask. There are many, so here goes.

Colagirl Collective Swagman 4ply/Fingering is made of a deliciously soft 19.5 micron non-mulsed Australian merino. The extrafine merino wool makes this yarn luxuriously soft and bouncy for next to skin comfort. It has a little nylon added for durability. This yarn is so versatile and can be used for any next to skin project like jumpers, shawls and baby. It is also great for items where a little more durability is required such as socks and gloves. Being a Superwash yarn it soaks up the dye wonderfully to give saturation of colour and delicate speckle precision. The Swagman base is heavily represented on my website from individual 100g skeins to 50's mix sets, 50g duo sets, 5x20g mini skein sets and 100g + 20g Sock Sets.

Lastly why the name Swagman? What is more Australian than the first line of Australia's unofficial anthem 'Waltzing Matilda' by Banjo Patterson.
